Young Volt

The youth chapter of Volt Austria

About us

Young Volt should give young people a voice in politics and actively contribute to solutions to important problems in the fields of youth and education 📚, leisure time🪁, public transport🚆 and social equality in schools.🇪🇺🏳️🌈

In the future, we want to participate as a European and pragmatic youth organisation in the legally established student councils as well as in the Federal Youth Representation and actively support the political decision-making process in schools and the reform of the Austrian school system. Youth policy in Austria needs a cooperative, rational alternative that relies on best practice so that each individual is heard.

Furthermore, we are committed to solving problems concerning everyday university life and want to offer students an opportunity for active political involvement. In the future we will extend our vision of an individual best practice school system not only to the AHS, BHS and NMS but also to our universities.

We have the following sub-chapters at Young Volt:

Volt Students

  • As a student and youth organization, Young Volt will be involved in school policy and political decision-making
  • Volt School works within Young Volt specifically on topics of the lower and upper school

Volt Legends

  • Within Young Volt, Volt Legends is concerned with everyday life at universities and is committed to the formation of political will among students

Opening of schools

  • An article about in our statement regarding opening of schools

Opening of schools

The Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research wants to open the school buildings from 7:30 a.m., even though schools have been open at this time for a long time. Starting school early can generally have a bad effect on health.
We should consider whether a later start of school from 9:00 a.m., as is the case in some EU countries, would also be conceivable in our country, so that health is taken into account and the performance of the pupils* improves.

More about this coming soon

Here you will find the blog of Volt Austria. You will find Young Volt specific blog articles there and again here.
