Young Volt

The youth organisation of Volt Austria

About us

Young Volt should give young people a voice in politics and actively contribute to solutions to important problems in the fields of youth and education 📚, leisure time🪁, public transport🚆 and social equality in schools.🇪🇺🏳️🌈

In the future, we want to participate as a European and pragmatic youth organisation in the legally established student councils as well as in the Federal Youth Representation and actively support the political decision-making process in schools and the reform of the Austrian school system. Youth policy in Austria needs a cooperative, rational alternative that relies on best practice so that each individual is heard.

Furthermore, we are committed to solving problems concerning everyday university life and want to offer students an opportunity for active political involvement. In the future we will extend our vision of an individual best practice school system not only to the AHS, BHS and NMS but also to our universities.

We need you!

Would you like to be actively involved in Austrian youth policy? Then simply write to us!

Opening of schools

The Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research wants to open the school buildings from 7:30 a.m., even though schools have been open at this time for a long time. Starting school early can generally have a bad effect on health.
We should consider whether a later start of school from 9:00 a.m., as is the case in some EU countries, would also be conceivable in our country, so that health is taken into account and the performance of the pupils* improves.

Education and the school system are essential institutions for our future. At the moment, they are only partially able to prepare us humanistically and individually for the personal and social challenges of each generation. In order to solve this and many other problems of youth politics, I want to achieve an alternative to the deadlocked system with Young Volt. Young people should get involved and be able to shape their own future based on factual realities!
